Ms. Sherwood is counsel to French, other European and Latin American businesses, banks and individual investors with respect to a wide range of US transactional matters, including, real estate and commercial transactions. She regularly counsels French businesses and individual investors concerning their US business interests, including negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, financing and acquisition of U.S. real estate and protection of trademarks and other intellectual property. Ms. Sherwood has represented New York branches of French and other European banks, as well as domestic banking corporations in a wide range of financing transactions, including short-term loans, multi-million dollar secured and unsecured lending transactions and real estate financings.
Ms. Sherwood is on the Executive Committee of the International Law and Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association and she is Co-Chair of the Women's Interest Networking Group. She is also Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association International Law and Practice Section, Women's Interest Network.
Ms. Sherwood is a graduate of Douglass College of Rutgers University (B.A. 1973), Rutgers University Graduate School (M.L.S. 1974) and New York Law School (J.D. 1981).
Ms Sherwood is fluent in French.
